Thanasis Skourtopoulos: Former coach of the Greek National Basketball Team dies at the age of 60.

Former Greek national basketball team coach Thanasis Skourtopoulos passed away at the age of 60. Skourtopoulos coached the national team from 2018 to 2022, leading them to the 2019 World Cup with a record of 18 wins and 5 losses. Born in Athens in 1965, he also played basketball before starting his coaching career with G.S. Dafniou. He recently coached Koulegud Broncos in Mongolia and Astoria Bydgoszcz in Poland, and the Qatar national team. Olympiacos BC expressed their condolences for his unexpected death.
