Allegations of undeclared property purchase in Cyprus by Ukrainian judge
Ukrainian media have reported that Yaroslav Holovachov, deputy head of the Kyiv Court of Appeal, allegedly purchased a luxury villa in the Pervolia area of Larnaca, Cyprus, in 2015. The property is valued at approximately €4 million and spans a 1,500 square metre plot with a 570 square metre living area. Allegations suggest a significant discrepancy exists between the declared income of the judge's family and the value of this asset. A real estate firm is reported to have facilitated the transaction. Furthermore, there are unverified claims regarding a coordinated effort to remove online reports and questions concerning the source of the funds from the internet. No official findings or investigations into the origin of these funds have been confirmed to date. The reports also note that such high-value investments in Cyprus have historically been linked to residency or citizenship schemes, though no specific link to this case has been proven.
