Elephant rampage in Kerala results in one fatality

An elephant named Mayyanad Parthasarathy caused a disturbance near a temple in the Indian state of Kerala. Reports indicate the animal broke its chains and went on a rampage for approximately two hours. During this period, the elephant overturned several vehicles and caused widespread damage. The incident resulted in the death of a 40-year-old man who was the driver of the truck transporting the animal to a ceremony. Authorities believe the elephant became agitated due to noise and large crowds. The animal was eventually sedated by officials to regain control of the situation. No further casualties were reported following the intervention of local authorities.
