Ierokipia municipality completes upgrade of eight parks

On April 29, Mayor Nikos Palios and the President of the Green and Environmental Committee, Georgia Christofi, inspected eight upgraded parks in the Municipality of Ierokipia. The project included the modernization of existing playgrounds at Giorgou Stefanou park in Yeroskipou, Gianni Aristodimou street in Koloni, and Agias Eirinis avenue in Timi. Additionally, new playgrounds were established in parks on Pentadaktylou street in Konia, Salaminos street in Timi, Agias Marinas avenue in Agia Marinouda, Merkouriou street in Agia Marinouda, and Asprokremmou street in Acheleia. Improvements included the installation of new equipment, safety surfacing, gym gear, fencing, and urban furniture to enhance safety and functionality. Funding for these interventions was sourced from a combination of European, state, and municipal resources. The municipality is currently planning further upgrades for parks on Thiseos street in Konia and Archbishop Makariou III avenue in Acheleia, for which tenders have already been issued.
