Investigation into the homicide of a 36-year-old man in Nea Makri

A 36-year-old Egyptian national was killed in Nea Makri following an ambush on Sunday, April 24. The victim died on April 27 due to severe injuries, including multiple rib fractures, sustained during a physical assault. The victim’s father reported to the Marathon Security Department that his son identified his former partner, her brother, her current partner, and two other unidentified individuals as the attackers. The suspects allegedly used wooden poles and metal pipes to beat the victim at a plot of land on Marathonos Avenue. Greek police have arrested three individuals, including the 31-year-old former partner, her brother, and her current partner. Authorities are currently searching for the remaining two suspects involved in the incident.
