President Christodoulides outlines family support reforms at mother's day event

President Nikos Christodoulides addressed the celebration for mothers of large families in Alambra, represented by Deputy Minister of Social Welfare Klea Hadjistefanou Papaellina. The event honored 250 mothers. The President highlighted government measures implemented over the past three years to address the country's demographic challenges. Specific policies include a 5% increase in child allowance and the removal of income and asset criteria for families with five or more children to ensure universal support. Furthermore, a 50% student allowance has been established for students from families with four or more children. These reforms were described as part of a broader commitment to supporting children and families.
