87-year-old man dies following road accident in Kokkinotrimithia

Eleftherios Koumoulis, an 87-year-old man from Mammari, has died following a traffic accident that occurred on April 29. The incident took place at approximately 11:00 am on Griva Digeni Avenue in Kokkinotrimithia. According to police reports, Koumoulis lost control of his vehicle under circumstances that are currently under investigation. His car collided with a light truck operated by a 35-year-old man. Following the collision, Koumoulis was transported to Nicosia General Hospital with multiple fractures and was admitted to the intensive care unit in critical condition. He succumbed to his injuries several days after the incident. The other driver involved in the accident was also taken to the same hospital, where he received medical treatment before being discharged. The Kokkinotrimithia Police Station is continuing the investigation into the exact cause of the crash.
