Cyprus Times releases polling data for upcoming parliamentary elections
A new poll conducted by Analytica Market Research on behalf of Cyprus Times examines voter intentions ahead of the May 24, 2026, parliamentary elections in Cyprus. The study, conducted between April 9 and April 24, 2026, surveyed 4,928 eligible voters. Results indicate that DISY is leading the polls, maintaining a narrow margin over AKEL. The survey highlights significant shifts in voter preference, noting that Fedias Panagiotou's party, Amesi Dimokratia, has reached fourth place, while the ALMA party led by Odysseas Michaelides has dropped to fifth. Voters expressed high interest in the electoral process, although many cited deep dissatisfaction with the country's current state, suggesting a protest vote motive. The full findings were scheduled for publication in the Cyprus Times on May 3. The poll tracks the competitive landscape regarding the lead, the performance of new political entities, and the struggle for parliamentary threshold entry.
