Additionally, Athletic Bilbao earned a 4-2 comeback victory over Alaves, keeping their hopes for a European qualification spot alive. Athletic Bilbao is currently tied with Celta and Getafe on 44 points. Alaves remains in 17th place with 36 points, two points clear of the relegation zone.
