Larnaca Salt Lake Park moves forward after 15 years as €2.6m project wins architectural competition.

A €2.6 million environmental centre at Larnaca Salt Lake Park is set to proceed after a 15-year delay. An architectural competition selected a winning design for the Environmental Information Centre, a hub for studying the wetland. The project involves demolishing former leper colony buildings on the 40,000 square metre site. Construction, overseen by Larnaca Municipality, is expected to begin within a year, creating a 15,000 square metre centre with educational programs and exhibits focusing on the area's ecology and culture.
