Bus falls into the Seine River near Paris

On Thursday morning, a bus carrying four people fell into the Seine River in the Juvisy-sur-Orge area, approximately 20 kilometers south of Paris. The vehicle was being operated by a trainee driver, who was accompanied by an instructor and two passengers. According to reports, the bus collided with a parked car before breaking through a protective barrier and falling into the water near the Draveil bridge. While reports vary regarding the parked car, some sources state it also ended up in the river while others suggest it was struck near the bank; however, officials confirmed no one was inside the car. All four occupants of the bus were safely rescued by emergency services, including divers who searched the submerged wreckage. Alcohol and drug tests for both the driver and the instructor returned negative results. Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
