Indie artist D4vd charged with murder of 14-year-old girl
David Anthony Burke, professionally known as D4vd, has been charged by Los Angeles County prosecutors with the murder of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas. The incident allegedly occurred in April 2025 at the defendant's home in the Hollywood Hills following an argument. Prosecutors allege that Burke, then 20, had been in an abusive, illegal relationship with the victim since she was 13. Evidence suggests the victim threatened to expose their relationship, providing a motive for the homicide. After the killing, authorities claim Burke used an alias to purchase tools online, including chainsaws, a portable pool, and shovels, to dismember and conceal the body. The remains were discovered months later in a discarded Tesla registered to the artist after facility workers reported a foul odor. Burke maintains his innocence regarding the charges. The victim had reportedly traveled to the singer's residence via Uber on the day of the incident.
