Recent fire incidents in Paphos and Paralimni
On May 3, 2026, four ambulances parked at the Royal Artemis Medical Center in Geroskipou were damaged by a fire that occurred around 01:00. Separately, on May 2, 2026, a fire broke out at a cafe owned by a 29-year-old in Paphos at approximately 03:20, which was extinguished by local residents before the Fire Service arrived. Police have cordoned off the area to investigate the cause of the cafe blaze. Additionally, on May 1, 2026, a fire caused by an electrical appliance damaged a first-floor apartment in Paralimni. The Fire Service received the call at 12:47 and dispatched two vehicles to the scene. No injuries were reported in the apartment fire, although the property sustained extensive damage from smoke and heat.
