Military grenade explodes at residence in Agia Marinouda, Paphos
At approximately 22:30 on Thursday, a military defensive grenade exploded in the yard of a residence in the village of Agia Marinouda, Paphos. The home belongs to a 75-year-old woman and her husband, who is a clinic owner in Paphos. Although the couple does not currently reside at this property, the police believe it was the intended target. The blast caused damage to the house windows, but no injuries were reported. Forensic evidence collected at the scene is undergoing testing. The Paphos Criminal Investigation Department is investigating potential motives, including a past report filed by the husband regarding a large sum of money obtained by fraud. Authorities have not ruled out any leads as they continue to collect statements and examine the evidence.
