Five-year-old child suffers finger amputation at kindergarten in Evosmos

A serious accident occurred at a kindergarten in Evosmos, Thessaloniki, yesterday morning. Around 11:30, a five-year-old boy suffered the amputation of the first phalanx of his index finger at the school's main entrance. The injury happened while children were playing, when a classmate closed the door on the victim's hand. The child was immediately transported to Papageorgiou Hospital for emergency surgery to reattach the finger. Local authorities have been notified, and the prosecutor has requested a preliminary investigation.
