Preparations for legislative elections on May 24th
Chief Electoral Officer Elikkos Ilias announced that preparations for the legislative elections scheduled for May 24 are intensifying. The printing of ballots by the Government Printing Office is planned to take place between May 9 and May 14, following the finalization of candidate nominations on May 6 and the resolution of any objections. The Nicosia constituency ballot is expected to be the largest, measuring 67x23 centimeters and printed on both sides. Selection and training for polling station staff are expected to conclude within the coming week, drawing from a pool of over 16,000 applicants. Additionally, the 'Where I vote' service is set to be activated before May 15 to assist voters in locating their assigned polling centers, which will be finalized shortly. All processes remain on schedule as the election date approaches in three weeks.
