Pafos Triathlon 2026 to be held on May 3

The Pafos Triathlon 2026 will take place on Sunday, May 3, in the area of the Municipal Baths in Kato Paphos. Approximately 240 athletes from Cyprus and 15 other countries, including the UK, Bulgaria, France, Germany, the UAE, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Belarus, Malta, South Africa, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Poland, Portugal, and Russia, are participating. Organized by the Paphos Municipality and Activate Cyprus under the auspices of the Cyprus Triathlon Federation, the event also serves as the National Triathlon Championship. The competition features a Sprint category starting at 07:00 and an Olympic category starting at 07:50. The Olympic distance covers 51.5 kilometers (1.5km swim, 40km bike, 10km run), while the Sprint distances are halved. To facilitate the event, road closures will be in effect between 06:30 and 11:30, specifically affecting Poseidonos Avenue, Melina Merkouri Street, and parts of Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue. Drivers are advised to use alternative routes via the northern side of Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue and the Rikkos Beach area.
