Winners of the 7th annual Fetisov Journalism Awards announced in Cyprus

The 7th Annual Fetisov Journalism Awards ceremony took place on April 22 in Limassol, Cyprus, co-organized by the MC Media Group. Four primary winners were recognized for their investigative work across distinct categories. Pierre Leibovici received the Contribution to Civil Rights award for an expose on forced labor in China and worker exploitation in Bangladesh involving Decathlon. Wolfgang Bauer was awarded for Outstanding Contribution to Peace for his reporting on the conflict in Sudan. Stéphane Horel led a team of 46 journalists to win the Excellence in Environmental Journalism award for investigating toxic waste mismanagement by European firms. Yuval Abraham won in the Outstanding Investigative Reporting category for his coverage of violence in Gaza. Each winning entry received 100,000 Swiss francs, approximately 108,000 euros. Runners-up and third-place participants also received awards during the event.
