Graduation ceremony for new police officers held in Cyprus
On Thursday, the Police Academy in Cyprus hosted a graduation ceremony for new police officers from series 159, 160, and 161. Minister of Justice and Public Order, Costas Fytiris, inspected the units during the event. In his address, the Minister emphasized that police serve as the foundation of societal security and public order. He urged the graduates to prioritize cooperation with citizens, stating that public trust is essential for an effective security system. The Minister acknowledged that officers face increasing challenges due to the evolution of organized crime and changing forms of delinquency. He called for professionalism and dedication in serving the law and the public. The Chief of Police also addressed the new recruits, reminding them to exercise caution and diligence in their daily duties.
