Water supply disruptions reported in Nicosia and Limassol
Two separate water supply issues are affecting residents in Cyprus. In Nicosia, the District Local Government Organization (EOA) announced scheduled maintenance and connection work for a new tank on Athalassas Avenue, starting May 1, 2026. This will cause water cuts in Strovolos, Nicosia city, and Kaimakli, with full restoration expected by Saturday evening or Sunday morning in some areas. Separately, in Limassol, a burst pipe on April 30, 2026, has interrupted service in the Apostoloi Petrou and Pavlou (Naafi) area. Affected streets include Molossou, Vasileos Konstantinou, Le Corbusier, Panagi Lappa, Joseph Louis Sert, Honore de Balzac, Thyateiron, Onisilou, and a portion of Nikos and Despina Pattichi Avenue. EOA Limassol crews have been working to repair the fault, with supply expected to be restored by midday on April 30.
