APOEL defeats AEL in first futsal championship final

APOEL secured a 5-4 away victory against AEL in the first match of the 2025-2026 Futsal championship finals. The game took place in Limassol at the Nikos Solomonidis Arena. Although AEL led 4-2 by the 25th minute, APOEL managed a comeback to take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five series. The series follows the rule that the first team to reach three wins will be crowned champion. The match was delayed by one week from its original April 24 date due to police requirements for an informal summit.
