Chelsea midfielder Mykhailo Mudryk receives four-year doping ban

The English Football Association (FA) has imposed a four-year ban on Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk for violating anti-doping regulations. The 25-year-old Ukrainian player, who has been sidelined since November 28, 2024, is accused of using a prohibited substance. Mudryk, who joined Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2023 for a transfer fee reported between 80 million euros and 88 million pounds, has denied the allegations. Following the FA ruling, the player filed an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on February 25. While the hearing date remains pending, Mudryk continues to train independently at the Uxbridge amateur club facility. If the decision is upheld, the player will be ineligible to compete until December 2028. Chelsea officials have not yet issued a formal statement regarding the case.
