Cyprus ethics committee members attend international sports integrity conference in Bratislava

Members of the Cyprus Ethics and Sports Protection Committee, Nicolas Konstantinou and Nicolas Koursaris, represented the organization at the 2nd Sport Integrity Conference held in Bratislava. The event brought together experts, institutional stakeholders, sports organizations, and law enforcement authorities. The conference focused on addressing modern threats to sports, specifically match-fixing and money laundering. Participants discussed strategies for the prevention and investigation of manipulated sporting events. A key theme of the event was the necessity of improved cooperation between sports entities and law enforcement agencies. Speakers emphasized the importance of enhanced national and international coordination to protect the integrity of sports. The participation of the Cypriot representatives is part of an ongoing effort to exchange technical knowledge.
