Nicosia municipal swimming pool to open for full 2026 summer season

The Nicosia municipal swimming pool is scheduled to open to the public on Monday, May 18, 2026, marking its first full summer season in several years. Operated by the Nicosia Municipality, the facility will be open daily from 10:00 to 18:30 until mid-September 2026. Deputy Mayor Chrysanthos Fakas confirmed the schedule and noted that while the pool opened late in June last year following renovations, this season will be fully operational. High visitor demand was reported last year, occasionally leading to capacity limitations. Admission prices for the 2026 season have not yet been finalized, with the municipal council expected to review the matter in two weeks. Reference points for new pricing include 2019 rates, with anticipated increases of five to 30 euros for some categories compared to last year's temporary lower rates. Meanwhile, the Aglantzia municipal pool will remain closed this year due to ongoing renovation works.
