Iraklis in talks with Walter Mazzarri for coaching position

Iraklis is currently negotiating with 64-year-old Italian coach Walter Mazzarri to lead the team following their return to the Stoiximan Super League. Club owner Panagiotis Monemvasiotis is scheduled to meet with Mazzarri in Thessaloniki soon to finalize terms. While some reports describe the discussions as being in an advanced stage with an optimistic outlook, others maintain that no final agreement has been reached yet. Mazzarri previously managed Napoli during the 2023/24 season, leaving in February after a draw with Genoa. His extensive coaching history includes tenures at Inter, Sampdoria, Watford, Torino, and Cagliari. His most successful spell occurred during his first stint at Napoli between 2009 and 2013, where he maintained an average of 1.74 points per game. The club aims to secure a competitive manager to ensure a strong performance in the upcoming top-flight season.
