Cyprus International Athletics Meeting 2026 to take place in Limassol
The EKO Cyprus International Athletics Meeting 2026 is scheduled for May 29, 2026, at the Tsirio Stadium in Limassol. The event will feature athletes from 34 countries, including Greek Olympic champions Miltiadis Tentoglou in the long jump and Emmanouil Karalis in the pole vault. A press conference regarding the preparations was held on April 28, 2026, at the Olympic House in Nicosia. During the press conference, the Cyprus Amateur Athletics Federation (KOEAS) observed a minute of silence in memory of Antonis Georgallidis, the federation's former director and a co-founder of the meeting. The international event has been held annually since its inception in 2022. KOEAS President Periklis Markaris highlighted the tournament's evolution and its importance for Cypriot sports during his address. Sponsors of the event also participated in the announcement to confirm their continued support for the federation.
