Cyprus football association disciplinary decisions following recent matches

The Cyprus Football Association (CFA) sports judge, Aristotelis Vryonidis, has issued several penalties following recent match reports. In the Third Division match between Ethnikos Assias and Ermis Aradippou held on April 17, 2026, three players received disciplinary action. Ermis Aradippou players Andreas Kkostis and Marios Kouzaris were penalized following their expulsions, with Kkostis receiving a one-match ban and a fine, while Kouzaris was fined for serious foul play. Ethnikos Assias player Erik Leontiou also received a one-match suspension and a fine for violently pushing an opponent by the throat. Additionally, AEL Limassol faced multiple fines for fan-related incidents during a match. These include a six-minute delay caused by supporters and the illegal possession and use of dangerous items, such as flares and smoke bombs, within the stadium stands.
