Man bites police K-9 during arrest in Alabama
On Wednesday, April 22, an incident occurred in Florence, Alabama, involving 46-year-old David Culver from Sheffield. During a narcotics investigation and search warrant execution at N. Locust Street by the Lauderdale County Drug Task Force, the Florence-Lauderdale SWAT team, and a K-9 unit, Culver interfered with the operation. Police reports state that Culver began shouting at officers and repeatedly entered a public street, disrupting traffic despite warnings. When officers attempted to arrest him for his behavior, he physically resisted. During the struggle, a police K-9 bit Culver on the leg. In response, Culver bit the K-9 on one of its legs. Officers used force to remove Culver from the dog. He was subsequently taken into custody.
