Godswill Ekpolo extends his contract with AEK Larnaca

AEK Larnaca has confirmed the automatic renewal of 30-year-old defender Godswill Ekpolo’s contract for the 2026-2027 season. The Nigerian player, who has been with the team since the summer of 2024, reached a pre-defined number of appearances that triggered the clause in his original 2+1 year deal. Since joining the club, Ekpolo has recorded 86 appearances across all competitions. As the team prepares for the upcoming football season, the management is also reviewing the status of several other players with expiring contracts. The list of players whose contracts are ending includes Alomerovic, Angel Garcia, Gustavo Ledes, Jorge Miramon, Valentin Roberge, Pere Pons, and Marcus Rohden. Planning for the new season has already begun as the club aims to stabilize its roster. The team is currently adjusting its strategy, noting that the new season may begin earlier than expected, similar to the current one.
