Cyprus Road Races Grand Prix event held in Protaras

On Sunday, April 26, 2026, the Cyprus Road Races Grand Prix held its third public road race of the year in Protaras. The event featured races of 10 km and 5 km, along with a 1 km route for children and families within the Paralimni-Deryneia municipality. The starting signal was given by KOA Vice President Kalli Chatziiosif and Mayor of Paralimni-Deryneia Giorgos Nikolettos, who also awarded medals to the participants. The event was organized by KOEAS with support from the Cyprus Police and the National Guard. Prior to the 10 km race, a one-minute silence was held in memory of Antonis Georgallidis, the former general director of KOEAS and a founder of the racing series. Athletes commemorated Georgallidis by wearing jerseys featuring his image. Andreas Prodromou of GSE finished first in the men's 10 km race.
