Nicosia police arrest 28-year-old after seizing narcotics and cash

On April 23, 2026, members of the Drug Law Enforcement Unit (YKAN) and the YDAP conducted a search at a residence in Nicosia following a court warrant. During the operation, authorities discovered and confiscated 1.5 kilograms of Class B cannabinoids and a significant sum of money. A 28-year-old man was arrested in connection with the findings. The suspect was taken into custody to facilitate the ongoing investigation. He is scheduled to appear before the Nicosia District Court on April 24, 2026, to face a remand order request. The Nicosia District Division of YKAN is currently handling the case.
