Columbia group appoints new chief executive officer
The Columbia Group has announced a leadership transition following the departure of Mark O'Neil. Andreas Hadjipetrou has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer, while Demetris Chrysostomou has been named Deputy Chief Executive Officer. Hadjipetrou has been with the company for nearly 30 years and most recently served as the Chief Commercial Officer. The organization stated that these appointments are part of their established succession planning strategy. According to the group, the new leadership team is intended to provide operational continuity and support international expansion, particularly in Asia. The company emphasized that its commitment to seafarers, shore-based staff, and client service remains a top priority during this transition. The group formally thanked Mark O'Neil for his contributions during his tenure as CEO.
