Scientific conference on the preservation of Cyprus's cultural heritage

The Department of History, Politics and International Studies and the UNESCO Chair of Neapolis University Pafos are organizing a scientific conference titled 'Looting, Rescue and Preservation of the Cultural Heritage of Cyprus'. It is held under the auspices of Archbishop George of Cyprus, who will inaugurate the proceedings. The conference aims to address the protection and repatriation of cultural heritage, specifically focusing on the period following the 1974 invasion. It features presentations from scholars regarding the illicit trafficking of cultural goods and the status of monuments in the northern occupied areas.
