Cyprus publishes financial asset declarations of ministers
The Special Parliamentary Committee of Cyprus has published the 'pothen esches' financial asset declarations for both new and former ministers and deputy ministers. These disclosures involve officials who assumed or left their posts during the cabinet reshuffle led by President Nikos Christodoulides in December. According to national legislation, newly appointed officials are required to submit these declarations within four months of taking office. Similarly, outgoing officials must submit their financial statements within four months of their departure. The publication of these documents is intended to provide transparency regarding the financial status of public officials. The information is currently accessible through the website of the Special Parliamentary Committee. This process serves as a standard legal requirement for government accountability in Cyprus.
