First Unified Run 2026 takes place in Larnaca

The 1st Unified Run 2026 was held on Sunday, April 26, at the Phinikoudes seafront in Larnaca. Organized by the Cyprus Special Olympics Federation and the Lions Clubs, the event aimed to promote social inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities. The route began at Europe Square, continued toward the Medieval Castle, and concluded back at the starting point. Participants of all ages and fitness levels, including both individuals with and without disabilities, joined in walking or running. Notable speakers at the event included Larnaca EOA President Angelos Chatzicharalambous, Larnaca Mayor Andreas Vyras, Lions Clubs Cyprus President Christos Petsidis, and Special Olympics National Director Eleni Rossidou. The event was held under the auspices of the Larnaca EOA, with support from the Larnaca Municipality and sponsors including Ypera Insurance and EduCyber Education. All participants received commemorative t-shirts and medals upon completion of the course.
