Cyprus petroleum sales increased in March 2026
The Statistical Service of Cyprus reported that total petroleum sales reached 127,272 tonnes in March 2026, marking an 18.6% increase compared to March 2025. Sales from service stations rose by 12.5% to 62,528 tonnes. Significant growth was recorded in aviation fuel supplies (8.6%) and marine fuel supplies (156.3%). Other products showing growth included kerosene (149.5%), heating gas oil (70.9%), asphalt (68.0%), LPG (50.4%), motor gasoline (4.6%), and diesel (8.0%). Conversely, heavy and light fuel oil saw decreases of 65.5% and 48.3% respectively. Compared to February 2026, total sales rose by 13.7%, with notable increases in aviation (16.9%) and marine (9.1%) supplies. Petroleum stocks at the end of March 2026 were 4.1% higher than the previous month. For the first quarter of 2026, total sales increased by 9.8% year-on-year.
