Procedural delays in the Tempi train accident trial

The trial regarding the train accident in Tempi continues at the Gaiopolis venue in Larissa. During the latest session, more than 230 parties, including victims' relatives, survivors, legal associations, and the Greek Train Drivers' Union, presented their claims for civil support. The court is currently processing the legal representation declarations, including those from the Greek State. While some parties have expressed their intent to participate, others have declined. The presiding judge has expressed frustration over the ongoing procedural delays. A request submitted by Zoe Konstantopoulou regarding the audiovisual recording and broadcasting of the trial remains pending. The court has implemented specific restrictions on the number of attendees and journalists allowed in the courtroom until the initial procedural stages are completed.
