Journalist Makarios Drousiotis raises new allegations regarding the 'Santi' case
Journalist Makarios Drousiotis has publicly renewed allegations regarding the case of an individual known as 'Santi,' accusing the Cypriot government, the police, and the Legal Service of attempting to cover up the investigation. Drousiotis specifically links Andreas Grigoriou, the current Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture, to the employment of 'Santi' at the Prodromos Post Office. He claims that internal messages from 'Santi' contain details about future events, suggesting she possessed insider information. While media reports indicate investigators questioned postal officials based on claims that she worked near the Legal Service or the Presidential Palace, Drousiotis asserts she was employed at the Prodromos facility during Grigoriou’s tenure as Director of the Postal Services Department. Drousiotis further alleges that Grigoriou hired 'Santi' through a program by the Human Resource Development Authority. Following his time at the post office, Grigoriou was later appointed by President Nikos Christodoulides to lead the Presidential Administration.
