Speculation regarding Răzvan Lucescu and Steaua Bucharest coaching vacancy

Reports have emerged in Romania linking PAOK manager Răzvan Lucescu to the vacant coaching position at Steaua Bucharest. Mihai Stoica, the general manager of the Romanian club, expressed personal interest in collaborating with Lucescu, citing their strong professional and personal friendship. However, Stoica admitted that such a scenario is unlikely, as he expects Lucescu to either remain at PAOK or attract offers from wealthier clubs. While Stoica believes Lucescu could manage the challenges of working under Steaua owner Gigi Becali, he emphasized that high-paying alternatives likely make a move to Romania improbable. Meanwhile, internal reports from the media outlet Fanatik suggest that Elias Charalambous remains the frontrunner to lead Steaua Bucharest. Currently, there has been no official confirmation regarding a departure of Lucescu from his post at PAOK.
