20-year-old injured in knife-point robbery in Ayia Napa
On the night of Saturday, April 25, 2026, a 20-year-old resident of the Famagusta district was the victim of a robbery in Ayia Napa. According to the police report, the incident occurred at approximately 10:20 p.m. on Martas Street. An unknown assailant ambushed the victim, throwing him to the ground, and demanded cash and his mobile phone while brandishing a knife. The victim attempted to resist the attacker, which resulted in him sustaining a knife wound to his hand. Following the assault, the young man was transported to Famagusta General Hospital. He received medical treatment for his injury and was subsequently discharged. The Famagusta Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is currently investigating the case to identify the perpetrator.
