"One of the biggest and most important events – Cyprus becomes the center of European Karate"

A press conference was held on February 4th regarding the upcoming European Karate Championship in Limassol, Cyprus, from February 6th to 8th. The President of the Cyprus Karate Federation, Fotis Marathovouniotis, stated Cyprus will host over 1200 young karatekas from 47 European countries. This marks the fourth time Cyprus has hosted the event. Davor Cipek, the General Secretary of the European Karate Federation (EKF), congratulated Cyprus on hosting the 53rd European Karate Championship. He mentioned there would be 300 referees as well as a large number of coaches in attendance.
