During the discussion, a heated argument broke out between AKEL representative Giorgos Loukaidis and ALMA representative Eirini Charalambidou. Loukaidis criticized ALMA for its alleged pro-NATO stance and proximity to DISY on economic policy. Charalambidou countered by accusing AKEL of having supported a DISY political bureau member as a presidential candidate during the 2023 elections.
