The Mayor of Limassol, Andreas Christou, discussed the rapid development of the city over the last decade in a recent interview. He highlighted that Limassol has evolved into a multifaceted hub for tourism, industry, education, and international business. Significant funds have been invested in reconstructing the promenade, creating new parks, and improving urban infrastructure. Key completed projects include the massive Limassol Marina and the modernization of the old port. Future plans involve the construction of a large-scale casino, a congress hall, golf courses, and a new stadium in Kolossi. The Mayor also noted that the city remains the largest ship management center in the European Union.
