Sasha Vezenkov named 2025-26 EuroLeague MVP
Olympiacos forward Sasha Vezenkov has been named the EuroLeague Most Valuable Player for the 2025-26 regular season. This marks the second time in his career, following his previous win in 2022-23, that Vezenkov has received this honor. Over 34 games, he averaged 19.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, and recorded a 23.1 Performance Index Rating (PIR). Additionally, Vezenkov won the Alphonso Ford Top Scorer Trophy. He was also named to the All-EuroLeague First Team alongside teammate Nikola Milutinov, who finished the season as the league's top rebounder with 7.1 boards per game and a 20.1 PIR. The rest of the All-EuroLeague First Team includes Elijah Bryant (Hapoel Tel Aviv), Sylvain Francisco (Zalgiris), and Jean Montero (Valencia). The selections were determined through a combined vote of coaches, team captains, media, and fans. Olympiacos finished first in the regular season standings, credited largely to the contributions of Vezenkov and Milutinov.
