Spotify releases all-time streaming data on 20th anniversary

Taylor Swift holds the top position for total streams, while Bad Bunny is ranked second. Other high-ranking artists include Drake, The Weeknd, and Ariana Grande. In 2025, Bad Bunny was named the most popular artist of the year by some metrics, while Swift's album 'The Life Of A Showgirl' topped charts in the UK and led global sales according to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry. The company did not disclose the specific methodology used to compile these rankings. Spotify currently serves approximately 751 million users and 290 million subscribers across 180 markets. In the United States, streaming now accounts for 82% of music industry revenue, as reported by the Recording Industry Association of America. Additionally, 'The Joe Rogan Experience' was cited as the most-streamed podcast.
