Urban redevelopment project underway in Livadia, Larnaca

Larnaca mayor Andreas Vyras and deputy mayor Marios Armenis inspected the ongoing urban redevelopment project along Makarios Avenue in Livadia on Tuesday. The project is being executed by S. Hadjichristofi Construction Ltd, with design services provided by George Karas & Associates Architects Civil Engineers LLC. With a total budget of €3.025 million plus VAT, the initiative aims to enhance the area's functionality, aesthetics, and environmental standards. Current progress includes the completion of a new stormwater drainage system on Ayia Paraskevi street. Future planned improvements include the removal of existing asphalt and pavements, as well as the creation of new parking areas. Infrastructure upgrades will involve electricity, telecommunications, and sewerage installations. The project also features road resurfacing, pavement reconstruction, and landscaping, including tree planting. Additional amenities such as shelters, a fountain, flower beds, and urban equipment are also planned as part of the redevelopment.
