Bolt reaffirms commitment to licensed taxi operations in Cyprus

Bolt, a mobility platform operating in Cyprus, has reaffirmed its commitment to working exclusively with licensed taxi drivers. The company operates within the national regulatory framework to provide transport services. According to data provided by the platform, the year 2025 has been identified as a record year for the Cypriot tourism sector. International visitor arrivals exceeded 4.5 million, representing a 12.2% annual increase, while tourism's contribution to the national GDP reached 14%. Dimitris Papachlimintzos, Operations Manager of Bolt Cyprus, stated that the platform aims to support the taxi sector by prioritizing safety and fair competition. The company emphasizes that its technology contributes to sector modernization, efficiency, and transparency. Licensed taxis are described as essential for managing the increased travel demand resulting from the record tourism numbers.
