Artistic exhibition on ecology to open at Gardens of the Future in Nicosia
The exhibition titled Exposition, organized by D6:EU, will run from April 25 to May 28 at the Gardens of the Future in Nicosia. Featuring the work of artists Christina Zampoulaki and Caterina Miralles, the project is a result of their MATCH residency in Cyprus. The research-based work focuses on non-extractive ways of interacting with land and water, drawing from studies at the Gardens of the Future and the Skouriotissa copper mine. The artists collaborated with scientists, architects, and local communities to explore ecological sensitivity. The exhibition includes permanent water-collection and filtration structures installed on-site. Visitors can access the exhibition on Thursdays by appointment, and admission is free of charge. The installations aim to present land as a dynamic system shaped by history and memory rather than as a consumable resource.
