Four-nation meeting on migration scheduled in Cyprus
On April 23, 2026, it was announced that Cyprus, Greece, Malta, and Italy will hold a four-party meeting to discuss the migration crisis. The discussions are scheduled to take place on the sidelines of the Informal European Council, which is being held in Cyprus under the country's presidency. The leaders of these four states are set to meet following a working dinner at the Ayia Napa marina. In addition to the multilateral discussions, Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides is expected to hold bilateral meetings on Friday with the presidents of Egypt and Lebanon. These meetings aim to address migration issues affecting the region. All events are taking place during the informal summit proceedings hosted by the Cypriot government.
