Analysis identifies audio recording in Santi case as excerpt from documentary

Cybersecurity and digital forensics expert Dinos Pastos has presented findings regarding a controversial audio recording associated with the 'Santi' case. Journalist Stelios Orphanidis had previously claimed the recording was sent by Santi from Germany after she allegedly fled there. According to Pastos, the audio does not originate from a private message but is lifted from a 2019 documentary about Venezuela, titled 'Venezuela – Das bittere Erbe des Hugo Chávez', produced by ARTE. Pastos identified the specific segment at the 43:35 timestamp of the documentary, which has been available on YouTube since 2020. This evidence contradicts the narrative that the audio served as a direct communication from Santi while in Germany. Makarios Drousiotis has also been involved in the discourse surrounding these claims, with conflicting views on the authenticity of the message. Pastos clarified that his investigation focuses solely on the source of the audio file rather than the location of the individual in question.
